ARIELLE de PINTO
Traditional strap sandals
Hand-knitted by artisans and carefully crafted 🧶.
I fell in love at first sight with the blue line drawn gracefully on the thick sole!💠
I also used them in a photo shoot, and the one-of-a-kind design is very appealing!✴︎
ARIELLE DE PINTO/
Jewelry designer ARIELLE DE PINTO wondered if she could apply the cloche weaving technique that has become synonymous with her jewelry to fashion items, and a group of women artists from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp exchanged ideas from a variety of perspectives to create a collection of sandals with a unique form that combines modernity and vintage. The result is a collection of sandals with a unique form that combines modernity and a vintage feel.
The brand was launched in 2012. The brand name is a combination of the name ARIELLE DE PINTO and the initials of four women: Laura, Valeria, Manon, and Michelle.
The uppers are intricately woven by hand in Canada and then transported to a small shoemaker's atelier in Valeria's home country of Italy.
The sole material is sourced primarily in Europe. The high-density, almost spongy material provides firmness, stability, and cushioning, and is finished with a beautiful mix of colors and materials using advanced techniques.
Shoemakers combine these uppers and soles to handcraft each pair, creating a unique and artistic platform sandal that combines the modernity of ARIELLE with European energy and shoemaker tradition.
Today, the collection includes a wide range of variations, including the signature cloche-woven platform sandal, as well as combinations with new materials such as original tape and cork.
